I'm positively GLOWING!!!!

Spring is here and I love to liven my dining room or coffee table up with a colorful Spring Time floral arrangement.  I came up with this arrangement because I wanted something I could enjoy both in the day time and the evening.....OK Quintece....you can dream but can you do?  Of course I can.  I came up with this piece!
Yes you are seeing this correct.  It glows from within.  So in the day time it looks like a pretty bouquet of tulips in a modern cylinder, but by night it glows to give a pretty ambiance.  How did I do it?  Well, hold on I'm getting to that....lol

I used a medium size cylinder for my outer vessel (walmart), a slightly smaller vessel for the inner (dollar tree), a simple pillar candle - you can choose any color pillar candle and make it even more interesting, and 3 bunches of colored Tulips from the local grocery store.  Two will be in one color and the 3rd will be a different color.

  1. Place the pillar candle in the smaller (inner) vessel.
  2. Then place the smaller vessel inside the medium (outer) size vessel
  3. Pour water in between the medium vessel and the smaller vessel cavity
  4. Cut each bunch of tulips to 3 different lengths.  The bunch that is the 2nd color should be your longest cut stem length.
  5. Start placing the Tulips in between the outer and inner vessel all the way around your vase.  You need to start with the bunch you cut the shortest first.  Make sure your blooms point out away from your pillar candle wick.  They should have a droop effect out of the vessel.
  6. Next add the second bunch that was cut a little bit longer than the first as your second pass around the vase.  Try to fill in the areas where the first bunch missed.  Continue with the last bunch in the same fashion.
  7. Then make sure NONE of the stems, leaves, or blossoms are covering the candle in the inner vessel
  8. Light your pillar candle and enjoy.
